Am I The Only One?

Really, Am I the only one who gets online just for a few minutes to check out the blogs and winds up staying longer than I planned? I always start with my own blog to see if anyone has commented me. Then I see someone has. I quickly click on that person and run over to comment them. As soon as I have the comment typed and start to submit I SEE I DIDN'T SIGN IN AGAIN !!Do others do this too? Am I the only one?

So then I back track back to my blog to sign in and start all over again. Oh, sometimes I copy and save it until I get back to Meggie's blog and then I can just paste it in again. You would think that this old dog could learn a few more tricks!!

One of the tricks I'm using is to put an A in front of some blogs like Penny's so I can keep her near the top of my list of favorites.

Oh my, I'm going to post this to see if the old dog learned anything yet...LOL

The best thing the old dog learned was that Blogger can put the links on your post for you. This was after I went to Google to get some html to try to do it myself. If there is a harder way to do anything, I'll find it!

Did you know that in the preferences for your blog, you can have your comments emailed to you as soon as someone posts one. It goes into your email and when you check your email, its there too... that is kind of fun.
I have a counter on my blog, and that way, I don't run up my count by me checking my own blog!!!

After seeing your post about the seashells, I went and found the as yet unpacked box of shells and opened it. I've put a few shells in the living room and tomorrow I hope to take some photos. Thanks for the reminder to enjoy my seashell collection.

Do you have beta blogger? I think it's easier to sign in with beta blogger (using a google account)when you are commenting.

I have my blogger "dashboard" saved in my favorite places. That way I automatically am signed in when I click on it. (I have the sign in saved... does that make sense?) Anyway, you already know more about this computer stuff than I'll ever know! I know nothing about html tags, etc!

There is sooo much I need to learn about this whole computer thing! A lot of what I do, i have learned the hard way, some of it has been learned from tips from other bloggrers- great friends that they are!

ARrrrrrrrrg on forgetting to sign in...how many times I do that!! You aren't the only one!!
One hint I can give you is...go to yahoo or hotmail and set up an alternate email address just for your blog...insert this into your profile and check that you want to share your email...then go to settings and hit comments...go down and check that you want an email when someone comments and input your new email addy...that way all you have to do is check your email for comments and you never miss one... say...someone comments on one you posted last week...it will come to the email and tell you where the comment was posted, and if that person has their email available you can respond to them right from your email...I love doing this and have made many friends this way!!

I know what you mean about Fall seeming to get here early! We have leaves falling already. I think its from lack of rain this year, but who knows. Mother Nature does what ever she wants to. My flowers all still look real nice.
Today is in the low 70's, perfect. I wonder if I should go to the thrift store? Oh yea, that would be inside, and I should be outside today. Boy this is a hard decision!
As far as signing in, if I'm not signed in I can sign in right under the comment box, you can't do it that way?
I have to go back and read about your seashells. I passed up two bags of them at the thrift the other day. Was that a bad thing to do?

I think it's a constant cry of bloggers! That we spend lots more time at it, than we plan. :-) Right now, my back is limiting my time, so I finally have a built-in-timer. But not the best kind of timer. :-(

I use Google Reader to the {zillion} blog I want to read. It shows when anyone makes a new entry, so I don't have to check each and all, to find new entries.

And I can put them in diff folders, so to speak. Like I said, I have wayyyyy tooooo many pretty blogs, which I want to look at. Some just have to be weekly or occassoinally and etc. But I can separate them.

And each folder has them, by alphabetical order.

It took me a long time of seeing others sing the praises of Google Reader, before I tried it. But now I lovvvvvvvve it.
