George Earl's Oldest Girl...

George Earl's Oldest Girl Rode A Pony Home Yesterday.

Isn't it silly how these long ago "helps" pop into your head. My Grandmother told me that sentence to help me remember how to spell geography. I sometimes think I need to think of a sentence to "help" me remember a new password. Funny, but my remember-er doesn't work as well as it once did.

I went with my husband to the doctor today. He introduced me to his doctor as his "hearing aid". And the doctor said, "probably your remember-er too." I said, "I'm not too sure about that part." Anyway he wants to send my husband for a cat scan. They have seen something and think they might know what it is, but they have to take the scan to be absolutely sure. So he gets the scan first and then will see the cardiologist. I'm hoping once we finish up this LM business and get rid of the stress, things will get better for all of us.

I am looking forward to getting my back yard... "back." And me being able to get in the car to go somewhere without asking someone to move "their" truck. (which is blocking mine!!) And, maybe, having time to go see my daughter's stained glass Christmas present in person. George William's oldest girl wants to do some fun things! Ha!

Wordless Wednesday

Whoa ...

So today Husband had to go get some prescriptions refilled. He was hoping this would be the week that would finish up all the lawn mower work. Nothing is getting done today. Husband's blood pressure was up. Got more meds prescribed. Must come back on Friday. He is really stressing today. Pray that all will go well. Thanks!!

Stress

I stress too much!

I heard my sweet neighbor talking to someone on the phone. I heard her say, "I don't want you to worry about me. When you think of me just say a little prayer for me. Don't worry, I will be alright."

So when I worry, I'm going to try to remember her words. I will pray and know that GOD will take care of things. I don't have to worry.

Photo Hunt - Drop

Snow Drop?

A Good Story

Picture has nothing to do with the story.

In my younger days, I had a next door neighbor who knew the best scary stories ever. One of them was about someone cutting off his big toe and he would come around at night saying, "I want my big toe" over and over. The last sentence of the story was always, "BOO! I GOTCHA!"

Yesterday, a friend of my husband, came to pay him for some service he did on a lawnmower. He was telling my husband that he had been in the hospital sometime back in December. He had a portion of his big toe taken off. The doctor's wanted to take his whole foot off, but he refused. They said there was no circulation going to his foot. Still he stood his ground. So they just removed about two thirds of the toe.

After he was home, one day he was outside doing something and he felt like his foot was wet. He took off the shoe and he had blood in it. He was so excited. He called the doctors and they all rejoiced. Blood was circulating in his foot. The place healed really nice.

He told my husband it is not always wise to do the first thing a doctor says. He is giving GOD all the praise. I love a story with a good ending!!
