Trespassing ??

This is the tree filled with Spanish moss at the back of the cemetery.
This is the front of the cemetery.  The plaque on the stone fence says Biddle Cemetery.

This is a few of the tombstones.

A better shot of the stone walls.

Several years ago, when there was no barrier to the field that this cemetery is in, I took lots of shots of the graves. All those pictures were on my very first computer.  You know what happened!  Crash and I lost them all.  I have always wanted to go back to do the Biddle Cemetery again.  I do not know anyone that could give me permission, and every time since, when we went by, the gate to the field was locked.

This past week on a very hot day we were headed somewhere else and we passed the field.  The gate was wide open.  After looking around and not seeing anyone working in the field,  we dared to go in.  Drove up the path to the cemetery.  The condition was not as good as the first time I took pictures.  The grass and weeds were so high I wouldn't go inside the fence.  I quickly hurried around the outside and took a few pictures.  We wouldn't stay long as we didn't want the farmer to come back and lock the gate while we were back there.  These pictures are not as good as the first ones,  but I'm glad I took the chance.

Something New

So today my husband got hearing aids.  He can hear again. I'm loving it. No excuses any more.  He can now hear, so he has to make all his own calls to refill meds and take care of business for himself. They might have them turned up too high. He is very aware of his own voice and is talking much softer. Like I said... I'm loving it!!!!

Junking

So last Friday we took a little time to do something fun.  We took a little side trip on our way to see husband's sister in the nursing home.  We had wanted to go through this junk/antique store for a while now.  It was extremely hot on Friday. We went through most of the things inside, but didn' t really look as much as we wanted. They had no air conditioner.  Just a small fan blowing directly on the woman minding the store.  I will say this.  These people had a very large collection of just about any thing.  The prices were too high for me.  I will be going back to the thrift store and the flea markets to shop. I don't need one thing.  But every now and then something catches my eye.  I told my husband that after he cleans out his work shop, we should drag some of our stuff out there and display it. We can fix up a fine junk barn. Ha ha.

So that one worked

Okay  so I see we have a new way of doing things here on blogger. Maybe I'll catch on before too long. *smile...
Okay for some reason I'm not able to post photos.  This is a test to see if I can post words.

Sunday in Trenton

You know me and old houses. On the way to visit my cousin, Janice, on Sunday afternoon, we passed this wonderful old home. I know none of its history, but it sure caught my eye. Thought you might like to see it too!
