The preacher who spoke at my uncle's funeral said he had spoken to Uncle Joe recently about putting his wife, Betty, in a nursing home. Uncle Joe told him, in no uncertain terms, that as long as his wife knew who he was and he was able, she would stay home with him. About the last thing he did before he had the stroke was fix my Aunt's lunch. When his children found him that afternoon, Aunt Bett was still sitting in the recliner with her plate on her lap. My Uncle was a very good man to his wife and family and everyone else that needed help.
Thanks for all the kind comments and prayers on behalf of him and his family.

I know you will miss him. He was a very good man to have taken on all that responsibility. He truly loved his wife and was a role model to all of us in how to love someone.
