I Wonder

Have you ever wondered how many years this sand has been blown around? How many times it blew across Hwy 12? How many times it has been pushed back across the road back toward the ocean? How much longer before another inlet forms? Where the next bridge will be built? When the next bridge will be built? Why there is another bridge over in the sound that goes nowhere? How many other people have climbed these same dunes? How those green bushes can live in that white, white, sand? What is hidden underneath that sand? How many pieces of broken shells and sea life are hidden there? Is there a piece of an old sea wrecked ship hidden there? I wonder.

Is there buried treasure down there? A dubloon hiding ten feet down?

Hi Ann,

There is so much in our world to wonder about. A bridge that goes nowhere? I'd wonder about that, too. Loved your post. Now I'll be wondering about things around here.

This is a fun entry, full of possibilities. And what am I gonna' do? Go very plain and blahhhh. How?

By saying that I'll bet some expert could tell you how many years that sand has been blown around. I bet some expert could even tell you when those grains of sand became worn down to small enough size, to be called sand.

Blahhh... Hu? Yes, I need to get back over to fun thoughts on this entry topic. ,-)

I enjoyed your "I wonder" post. The picture is intriguing when you look at it that way. Food for thought and as Renie said, there is so much in our world to wonder about. You should start a game of "I wonder" photo tag. That would be fun.

I always like to picture, in my mind, the sea and the coast like it was before development made it what it is today. I can see ladies in long dresses, walking barefoot along the little paths that lead to and from the shore, little children running and squealing while finding lots and lots of sea treasures... shells, glass, coins, etc. I picture the men in long pants, barefoot, throwing out their handmade nets along the shore, trying to catch enough fish for supper. I like to imagine what it was like when the beach was a wonderful hidden treasure!

Ann,

There's no telling what's under the sands. I've often wondered the same things about places that I go to. But ole Blackbeard and other pirates probably hid a lot of stuff around coastal North Carolina, that's to include shipwrecks and it's contents that time, sand, water have covered.

I'm no good at this, but I chose you to play taggy. lol
