We got bad news. My uncle who was caregiver for my aunt who has Alzhemiers was found yesterday lying in the bathroom. He has had a stroke and a heart attack. It doesn't look good.
These blue flowers are shining in my flower bed. I asked my SIL if she knew what they are called, and she said, "I always called them weeds".
One of my blogger friends,Possum told me to call them wild flowers. I like them. They are more blue than my picture shows them to be.

We'll say prayers for your loved ones... Lovely flowers
So sorry to learn of your Uncle's illness. May God give strength and peace. I agree with your friend Possum, call these beautiful things wild flowers. When my husband complains about all the 'weeds' among his flower beds, I tell him to just rename them! And I believe that somewhere in the world, what we call weeds others call flowers.
Bless you my new friend!
I also have some wildflower blooming in my yard. Some people might call them weeds, but they are pretty.
I will keep your family in your prayers.
Have a blessed day.
Mary
I'm so sorry for your sad news. My prayers are with your family. I don't know how old your uncle is, but it's been told to me (since I am my 85 year old mothers caregiver) that it's often harder on the person administering the care then the person with Alzheimer's. I know I can certainly agree with that.
I think that any weed that is blue - I love blue - has earned the right to be called a flower - it's all in the eyes of the beholder!
Sorry to hear about your Uncle!
I like your blue "wildflowers"
;)
So sorry to hear about your uncle and aunt. Yes, I'd just call them wildflowers and smile. Aren't dandelions wildflowers, too?
Lovely flowers- remember, a weed is just a plant you do not want. Those are not weeds, as they are obviously there to be enjoyed!
Best wishes for your Uncle.
Love the blue weeds! Hope Uncle J. gets along okay!
Hi there
Just found your blog through sandy's; I live in NC as well - but on the opposite side of the state I believe.
Your blue weeds are lovely indeed; I personally love all sorts of weeds. Yours may be wild asters? Some asters are white, some blue and I have seen some a striking purple in the wild.
I am also sorry to read of your loss; I am taking for Granted that your Uncle knew the Lord. Sad for the family, but knowing that he is no longer having to shoulder a much loved burden . . . God is merciful. Praying for your auntie and you.
Christian sister arms around you.
