I've Started Christmas Decorating

This is a wreath I have used for years.

It was made by my SIL long ago!

I'm not doing a tree this year. Just placing little things I have on table tops. Some of these were gifts.

Some of these are odd pieces I found on yard sales.

This Camel and King I found at a Church Yard Sale.

And this one I got last year after Christmas. Tells more of the story!

Jesus Is The Reason For The Season!

Merry Christmas!!

Love your nativity pieces. I have always wanted to add to mine but never have. I think I will put out the nativity pieces that I have, (oh yeah, I did buy a nativity figurine after Christmas last year!), put up a wreath, decorate the mantel, and maybe use my little ceramic tree I made many years ago! Maybe this week???

You have some very interesting pieces there! I saw an Angel on Saturday, - an ornament- & I meant to buy her! You have just reminded me, I forgot to go back to get her.

Your decorations are beautiful! I'm not putting up our regular live tree either, as we are planning on leaving for the South on December 27th. However, I will put up my village and a few other decorations. Maybe my tinsel around the doors. I haven't decided yet.

Thanks so much for sharing.
Blessings,
Mary

I do enjoy Christmas decorations with a story behind them. We have many ornaments and such with a family history. I find it sad that many completely miss the reason for the season and then even leave Christ out of their Christmas. ec

Good Evening Ann,
Sorry for being late in posting, but I had to go out of town for my daughter's basketball game. I love your wreath and your Nativity figurines. I have 2 Nativity sets. One has a Stable with it and the other one doesn't. I have the one with the Stable up, but haven't gotten around to putting the smaller one up yet. I still have quite abit to decorate. It may be later on this week. It just depends on how many more games we have this week. Take care my friend and have a Blessed Evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

These are lovely and I'm sure they will be very pretty. No need for a tree, if it doesn't feel right for any reason.

We always used to go out and cut down our tree, when kids were growing up. And then went to getting a fresh cut tree, not cut by us, even after being 'empty nesters.' But then we decided to go for a not-too-tall artificial tree and it's great.

I'm a great believer in doing our Holidays, exactly as it feels best for us.

Ann,

Your things are lovely - and your front door looks almost like mine.
I haven't started decorating yet, but tomorrow night I might have to pull out my snowman...:)

I can't eat no more sweet tater pie!

Ann,

Your Christmas pieces are lovely. I have an old nativity set that I have used for years. My granddaughters always put up my tree when they are here, so it's up. I look forward to Christmas. I love Christmas morning service at my church, and getting together with the family after.

Blessings,

Renie

Thanks for stopping by my page. I love Christmas decorating, but haven't had time to do much of it this year. I am hoping to get some time for some holiday crafts after getting my homework turned in. Here's hoping ...

My favorite Christmas decorations are those that I have had for years. Things that my kids made, or gave to me, or that I got from my Mother.

I love your wreath. I have used mine for so many years, I think I may have to give it a good 'working over' this year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thank you so much for going to Rose Michelle's blog... the wife whose husband just deployed, again. Thank you much for your comment there.

I visited her today/Sat. and she's already had the oral surgery. -sigh-

What a beautiful nativity. I still haven't unpacked mine. We aren't doing our usual 7 foot tree but have put up a very small tree. It is in a pot and we'll be able to plant it next spring. I do hope it lasts until then.

I've enjoyed my visit, as always.

Blessings,
Mary
