Finally Fall

This week it is beginning to look like Fall around here. Not so much in my own yard.

The blue berry bushes have changed color.

This tree is next to the path in my yard.

Along the NC country roads there is color peeking from the greeness of the woods. On Friday morning on the way to the doctor's office with my husband, I noticed that there is red, yellow, gold along with the green and brown. At Last!!

Most of our trees are now nearly bare, just a few with a little colour.

Pop over and see the build up to the spectacular

Everything is gorgeous around here too. On some of our drives around here, I almost become breathless over the beauty. Even the children are commenting on how pretty everything is.... either it is extraordinarily pretty or they are finally growing up. ps... remember when I got laughted at in the mountains for calling my driveway a path.... I had to snicker at you calling yours a path... I finally stopped doing that!

We don't get much fall 'color' here in South Texas. The Chinese Talla trees turn brilliant orange, yellow, and red, but that is about all. I do admire your pretty colors tho.

But with fall color, comes serious winter, usually. I would rather not have serious winter.

Oh that sounds so inviting to me. I am sitting here stewing! It is about 30 degrees centigrade, & very humid. I am dreading our summer.

Just checking in on you. Loved the photos. OUr trees and such are just now turning. Nothing around here is as pretty as what you have. Hope you and yours have a blessed day.

I don't know why we can't call it a path, but the kids used to laugh at me when we lived in the mountains for calling the driveway a path. They "educated" me that a path is a trail you can only walk by foot. *grin*

Well I guess that makes sense. I will try to stop calling it a path... LOL

Are we later than usual this year? Our fall colors have been on and off for over a month with some trees totally naked and others at their peak of color right now. It has been beautiful. Enjoyed seeing yours!

Hi Ann,

In my neck of the woods the colors are turning brown, falling off the trees and crunching under the feet. Your pictures are beautiful! Enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving.

We have finally got some color to the leaves in our area - even though it was 78F here today. The pear trees are a beautiful scarlet, my favorite color for leaves. We have still only had a few frosts and are still in drought conditions. Hope you have a good Thanksgiving. ec

Ann,

That's how it is in my area - red and yellows now, mixing in with the green and browns. I guess it has just been to dry and hot this year for the leaves to be beautiful with good color. Usually, all of the leaves have already fallen but as of now, they are still hanging on.

I wish for you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving and comfort for you/others with loved ones in the military.
