Christmas Shoe Boxes

This is the most fun part of Christmas for me. I love packing a shoe box for Samaritans Purse.

This is the girls box.

And This is the boy's box.

This year I did two boxes. I look for bargains all during the year for these boxes. Remember the pencils and crayons I got this past summer? Some of them are in there. I also added some blow pops and chewing gum. I hope the children that receive them will like them as much as I liked doing it.

Thank you for joining hands with us in His name.I have added you to Mr Linky. It is pretty easy. You just copy the link location of your post and put it in the bottom line of Mr Linky and then add your name to the top line.
The boxes look great. I love the idea of using the plastic boxes because then the kids can have them to use afterwards.
Thank you.

Our church does this each year. We are a small congregation but this year we put together 50 boxes. This past Sunday, we gathered at the front of the sanctuary, each person held a box and our Pastor prayed over them and the children who would receive them. Only eternity will tell what these boxes have meant to children around the world.
Bless you for doing your part my friend.

I need to remember to do this...I'm probably too late this year, but maybe next year!

Royal Family Kids Camp does shoe boxes too, for foster children. Our church in Oregon runs a camp each year and the church provides the boxes.
Samaritan's Purse is such a good organization!

That is so sweet! Any boy or girl will LOVE those boxes. You've just inspired me to work on this for next year.

What a lovely idea! Do they provide the boxes for the gifts?
Over here there are usually Christmas trees in the large stores for gifts for needy children.
Of course you are expected to buy the gift from the store!

Wonderful. Thanks so much for joining hands with us to bring A Christmas Blessing and to Let Your Light Shine - all in the name of God.

The boxes are beautiful and some lucky children will be so happy this Christmas.

Blessings,
mary
