Small Town Art

I love small town art on the fronts or sides of buildings!

Many of the buildings are all being painted the same color, a deep red with green accents. I liked varitey. I can understand the concept that the Chamber of Commerce is trying to convey with the updated colors on the buildings, but I'm afraid the art might be covered. I hope NOT!

I hope that this art isn't covered either, it is very pretty. I think it serves better than a reg sign and shows character. If I needed flowers, I would definately check them out.

The roses in this piece are very pretty. Surely they wouldn't cover that up, or any other creative pictures on buildings.

Maybe you can talk to the Chamber about it.

Have a great day!

OH NO, they can't cover that beauty of a mural up...I say take up a petition! If I lived there I'd sign it!

I am with you, Ancient One. To be just alike is nothing, it is our differences that make us special, and that includes old buildings. connie from Texas

I love those roses!
I really must get my act together, & take some of the 'art on buildings' I see here. Every time I pass it, I kick myself menatally for not having my camera on board!

I agree. I hope they don't cover this beautiful piece of art.

How nice! Hopefully the beauty of the roses will stay and they will not bother with it. But, dumb people have done even dumber things - just because they had the power to do it and they get to make the rules.

Ms. Ann, I lived in Kinston 32 years ago and my sister lived in Goldsboro, so I remember Ayden. I don't know if I ever went there, but I remember the name. We have some art on a building in the small town nearest my house. I'd like to show that on my blog some time.

They should never cover up those pretty roses! They are so unique.

Oh, you just jogged my poor little mind! the next time I go to town, I am going to take some pictures of the murals they have painted on the old buildings downtown. Pictures of the olden days, when Edna was a young town.

I love those roses too!
