Vera's Journey

My neighbor gave me the best book to read.  The name of the book is Vera's Journey.  It is a historical book about this family of Mennonites  who lived in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I really, really, enjoyed it.  My neighbor's brother in law married into Vera's family.  My neighbor has been to Vera's home and knew her well. She lived to be over 100 years old. It is written by Judy Yoder who added lots of historical things that happened during Vera's lifetime.  It reads like a story book and I found it hard to put down, wanting to keep reading until I finished.  In fact, I liked it so good, I'm going to order myself a copy from Amazon. (I borrowed the picture of the cover from Amazon.)

When you invest the time to read a book, the kind you can't put down are the best!

Its on my order list. Looking forward to reading it! Thanks.

BTW, keep us posted on the Brick Kitchen house. I, too, hate to see the old houses disappear.

I will have to check into reading this. The Mennonites are big in the little town I work in so I would find this book very interesting. We buy strawberries and other home grown fruits and veggies from them, etc. Such nice, nice people. Thanks for sharing!
