The first picture is one I took of the sand dunes along highway 12 on our ride towards Rodanthe last Wednesday. The second picture was taken by Steve Earley of The Virginian Pilot of the same road and posted today. Hurricane Sandy really messed up things, didn't she?

aww..that is terrible...poor highway 12. It was just rebuilt, wasn't it??
