Day is Done

This scene was earlier this week. Today is almost done. I've waited by the phone for a call back, that did not come. Maybe tomorrow. Simple requests just don't get done.

Yesterday was good. My niece, Susan, had a beautiful baby girl. Facebook pictures went up soon after she was born. I love facebook !!

Took mom back to the dermatologist yesterday. We thought he was only going to check the place on her face that he had removed a cancer about six months ago. He decided she'd get a whole body check yesterday and he found four or five suspicious places that he froze. Then he said he'd see her again in six months.

The boys were here today to redo the roof damage that the tree had done. We only had to buy one bundle of shingles and one board. We had plywood on hand that they were able to use. That's the main worry fixed. I think the gutter man is coming on Saturday to give us an estimate.

The tree has been cut off the shelter that the truck and tractor were under. We have to order another shelter and decide where we are going to put it. Want to get away from all the trees over there where the old one was.

Still have lots of debris to get up along the edges of the lane. Suppose to be cooler weather starting tomorrow, so maybe we can tackle that. Our biggest aggravation right now, is the mosquitoes. They are just terrible. Irene could have left them somewhere else. We had a dry summer for the most part, and had forgotten how annoying they could be.

Hope your day was good!

Waiting for the phone to ring is hard. You had a nice day anyway. Took my Mama to the skin doctor today too. Same thing. Froze some things off, took some samples to send off.

Maybe your phone will ring tomorrow!

beautiful sunset shot! Love it.

Glad the cleanup is coming along so well. We don't get too many mosquitoes around here. And a new baby in the family! Congrats! Will check out your Facebook, soon.

Yes, trees are nice to have around, except in storms. I'm getting rid of a huge hickory that is right above my bed, outside.

Have a good weekend.

Looks different around here. I like it! Now if I could just convince you to enlarge the text to "old eyes" size, so I didn't have to do it. LOL!

Beautiful sunset.

Love this picture!! I didn't even know susan was expecting a baby until a day or so before she delivered. I saw her tagged in a picture on FB with a big cute belly! Glad things are coming together for you and daddy after the hurricane. It's a lot of work, isn't it??? I love you!

Congrats on the new baby in he family, Ann.

Speaking of mosquitoes, we haven't noticed them at all this year in my area - I haven't gotten bit one single time.

Prayers for your Mom.

p.s.] Catching up on your blog - it's a miracle from God that that tree missed your propane tank - that is scary, Ann!
