You can say that again. I got gas today and it was uncomfortably close to $4.00 a gallon. I blocked out exactly what it was but I think it was around 3.60 a gallon or something like that.

Yep, right at four dollars, here and it stinks! Especially for a couple of my boys that drive long distances for work.

Reading the comments in the entry and on this thread gets me wondering if I'm the only Photo Hunter who doesn't drive (any more)! Thank goodness for Hong Kong's great public transportation!!

You should have the prices that we have in France!!!! My husband has also not been using our car - great public transportation in Paris as well.

Happy Weekend.

Hi Ann,

TN Chick has moved her blog again; here is the new address. I was able to comment on a PHunt for the first time in weeks!

I miss those prices too. If we had decent public transportation, I would use it, but we don't. My cousin who lives in Ireland told me that gas over there is 9 bucks a gallon, so I'm grateful that we are only pushing $4!

Have a great weekend.

I am very happy we live in a major urban centre and do not need a car for daily living. The prices have skyrocketed here in Canada and I do not know how my family that do drive daily can keep up. It is becoming way too expensive to drive if you are working class people.

You aren't kidding, Ann. I haven't did a gaswatch post in a while, I was looking at a pic that showed gas prices in S.C. last Thanksgiving - $2.59? Sure is a big difference now. In most places, gas is right under $4 here - but one place in Marietta, across from the bus station was $4.15. Bet I won't be buying gas at any place like that. The rising prices are putting the hurt on everyone. It takes $20 to put my gas gauge on one quarter tank in my truck!

It'a $3.78 in my neck of the woods. And because gas has gone up, so has everything in the grocery store, as well.

Hope you're having a good weekend. Greg's out there cutting grass, which has grown tall, with all the rain we've had. I am making lunch. Have a great Sunday!
