Warm Sunday Afternoon

Headed to Lowes and decided to check out the new bridge at Grimesland.

Passed a yard sale and decided to circle back. I bought an album of pictures of people I don't know who served at Fort Hood TX. Young soldier and his pregnant wife and their travels in 1959 and 1960. No names on the pictures. I'll have to get a magnifying glass and try to read the name on his shirt.

Finally got to Lowes and bought a bolt and some boards. Think the new fence is going to get a gate. Would not let myself be tempted by the flowers. Still too early to plant here yet.

What fun would an errand be if you didn't have some diversions along the way? Will you attempt to identify and maybe contact the people in the album? How do memories like that get cast aside?

Your book sounds like a treasure. I can't wait to see it! Where will your gate be?

I know, I asked her if she intended for that to be in the box and she said yes, she didn't know those people.. I asked how much and she said $1.. I handed it over and brought those people home... it will be fun trying to guess who they are.

The gate will be at the end of the fence next to the house.. long ago there was a gate there, remember?

Its too early for flower planting here also. I always buy pictures of people I don't know, especially old vintage ones. Have a nice Sunday.

Waaaay to early here for photos! That photo album intrigues me. My husband was stationed at Ft. Hood and my first daughter was born there. We were there Oct.'65 through Oct '67. Seems like a million years ago! LOL!

I almost feel as if it's too LATE to plant flowers here! I always try to have it done by the end of March so they can get a foot-hold before the really warm weather.

Very Neat to find old pictures of people. I hope you find out who they are. Enjoy the hunt.
