Those are both unique and funny signs. I actually remember a few places where we could get 5 cent cokes when I was a kid although I think they went up to 10 cents most places when I was in elementary school. I'm dating myself.

Kids for sale made me laugh out loud! Talk about dating myself, Mr X's grandmother used to own a general store up at the lake in New Hampshire called Grandma's Pantry. She had a case for sodas, including 5 cent Cokes and Pepsis. She also had a case with penny candy that actualy cost a penny, some were actually 2 for a penny, if you can believe that!

Haha.. Love the 1st sign!

This is cool! the sign is cute, unique and funny too....it means selling goat babies right? or something else?

Great take for the theme!

I love both of your signs. That Pepsi sign is an old one for sure. I can remember soda being five cents a bottle when I was very young, but then it went up to 7 cents and 10 cents. Seems its been going up ever since.

Enjoyed my visit, as always. Have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,
Mary

That's good...can I sell mine?

mine is up...and it involves dragons.

LOL, we are so used to calling children "kids" and when we see "kids for sale" we associate more to children rather than baby goats! Have we butchered the English language?

Lol at the first one! If the sign wasn't shaped as a 'kid' this might get the people calling social workers! Happy PH!

Great signs! Oh for the days of a nickle soda! And 2 cents deposit on the bottle. The land looks familiar also - Long ago I lived in a little place called Maxton, with sandy, flat land all around. Gas has gone to 3.59 here since I last filled up, so next week, I'll be paying more too.

Love it - sometimes I feel like putting one of those signs up myself. Thanks for visiting my blog.

that's a cool sign - the first pic! nice one. :-)

haha - I'm sure the sign that says "Kids For Sale" is referring to baby goats, but it's funny just the same.

The lowest price that I remember for coke/pepsi is 15 cents and that was back around 1970.

Most coke machines or instore, charges a minimum of around 60 - 75 cents for a can coke.

The last time that I was at Six Flags Over Georgia, they were charging $2.00 for a coke. I heard someone say it is now $3.00, although I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't doubt it. Talk about price gouging!

Kids for sale... I didn't realize you still had that sign. I love signs, don't you?

I wonder how many hits the person got for kids for sale? I know a few who would give their kids away!!!

He-he. I love the unique ideas you come up with. Keep it up!!
