Would you have taken this?

A friend of my husband told him to go look in his vinyl trash pile to see if he wanted anything. We are thinking of putting vinyl rails on our front porch. We brought back some things we thought we could use, but it seems to be more for a deck than a porch. (much higher than we wanted) My husband thinks he can still use those pieces for something else. I found this one piece of fencing that I just wanted for some reason. I think it looks like grave yard fence. Now that I have it, what in the world am I going to do with it? LOL

Good Afternoon Ann,
Hope you are doing good on this Tuesday. I love that fence. It looks so antiquish. LOL. I don't know if that's a word or not, but I am using it as one. LOL. Hmmmm, do you have a flower bed or a special tree that you have planted? Maybe you could put it around those things if you have them. What about a Fireplace? If you have a Fireplace, you could put it in front of it. I'm no home decorator that's for sure, but if I had a fireplace that is where I would put it. Are you decorating outside this year? If you are, you could use it with that and put some lights on it. These are just ideas. I emailed my Sister-In-Law the story you posted on Saturday. She has a printer and will make copies of it. I sure do appreciate you emailing it to me. If you don't mind, I might would like to use it on my blog one day as just a post as you did. That is such a great story and I think everyone needs to read it. Well, take care my friend and have a great Tuesday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Oh, the fence is pretty, Ann. You'll find a use for it. Karen's suggestion is good. Or put it somewhere and plant pretty flowers in front of it. And maybe stick a quaint garden decoration among the flowers, too. The possibilities are endles. Lol.

Christmas blessings,

Renie

Maybe you could let flowering vines to grow along the fence - might look pretty. ec

Depends.

How much of it do you have?

Ann, I think the garden idea is a good one. It would make a great fence for area enclosure and/or a prop for climbing roses, vines and vegetables.

I am with the garden idea. Some plants to keep it company!

I think you could just give it to me, and that would solve your problem. LOL

You have so many places you could use that piece of fence. It would make a pretty background for all your colorful flowers. I can't wait to see how you use it.

I'm thinking sweet peas planted in front of it and twining their way up the posts.

I love it! And I don't think it looks graveyard, more Old South.

Oh let's see, hang it on a wall as art, use it as a headboard, use it for a fireplace screen, use it in your garden, I have some wrought iron in a similar pattern on the inside of an arbor and behind a small rose bed. I'm sure you'll find a use for it!

Did you get seeds from your hyacinth bean vines? If not, I have a lot that I would be happy to share, (or if you just wanted extra), Let me know.

HBV would be VERY PRETTY on that fence. And, it is a well behaved vine, so it wouldn't tear the fence up.....

Looks like a good sweet pea support to me, and it's not too late to plant them. 'Old Spice' won't grow taller than your fence.

If there's a problem area where dogs or people take a shortcut, it can define a bed and keep them out. An evergreen like box or gardenia at each end makes a single piece of fence look more intentional.

That fencing would make a beautiful trellis! If you have a garden, put it there and let vining flowers go wild all over it!
