Just a stroll around my place

Finally I'm feeling okay again. Except for the pollen everywhere, this is a beautiful day. So I decided to take a walk outside.

This was going to be my Easter Posting picture. My sweet daughter gave me the flagholder and a bunch of flags for Christmas.

You never know what you'll see around here. This is the bottle tree.. still a work in progress. I eventually want to have all cobalt blue bottles on it.

As you can see, I have not found enough of the blue bottles yet. Friends and family have donated some bottles and I have filled in spaces with colored glass vases.

Here is an old rusted tub with a few strawberry plants in it.

I doubt there will be enough to satisfy anyone's hunger for strawberries.

You never know what you'll see in all the nooks and crooks of trees around here. This is the back side of a little birdhouse.

And this is one of our flower beds showing off. The irises will soon be blooming.

I would love to stay outside more, but my allergies run me back inside. Everything has a light covering of yellow/green pollen. But, hey, Spring is definitely HERE !!

Sorry to hear you have been under the weather...the pollen is horrible here, today, too...the porch has yellow green carpet.

It's so good to take a little walk around the house. I'm have some alergy problems here too...not horrible, just annoying.

I love your flag. I need to find a flag holder and some flags too. My daughter has one with large flags reminding passersby to pray for our troops.

Yesterday our winds were so high our van was almost blown off the road. What does high wind do to a bottle tree? I have always wanted one.

Love the quaint little bird house in the tree fork.

what are the purple flowers? I look for blue bottles everytime I go to Goodwill... so far... none!

My bottle tree is iron (rebar) welded together. The bottom pushes into the ground like a shephards hook. So far the wind has not damaged it. But wouldn't it be wonderful if the wind could blow across those bottles and make a sound... hmmm.. wonder if that is doable?

Penny the purple flowers are verbena. Thanks for all the comments.
