I can beat you on this one... before we got storm windows on our house in PA, the coal dust from the RR across the river from us - in the winter, with no leaves on the trees - that coal dust covered everything with a layer of black. Come spring, the porches had to be scrubbed with serious soap before we could put the porch furniture out. Nice picture, by the way. Where does it go?

It may be a dirt(y) road but it also helps make for a scenic scene! :)
