I like the old timey ones best - Marietta has an old model each year in the 4th of July Parade. The new models are spiffy - certainly better equipped. Firefighter work long hours - my grandparents lived next door to one in Atlanta, he worked 3 days on and 3 days off.

In every parade I have noticed how clean the fire trucks are and all the other big trucks, it always looks very nice.

That's one loud set of squeakers. We saw a few of them yesterday on the way to some emergency.
I guess their tires squeak too when they halt for a stop :)
