Stop

Talking to myself here...

I revisited "Words With Friends" and got hooked all over again. My sisters and I have been playing and I am tired. Those girls, to be new players, sure caught on fast. Whew... I had to take a break. None of you ever got caught up in that stuff, did you??

Christmas is almost here and I haven't put out any decorations. Every thing just seems so hard to do, anymore. Guess my age is catching up with me. Seems this time of the year gets so busy, I really don't enjoy it. Anyway that's not what Christmas is all about.

We celebrate Jesus' birth. It seems that Christians are mocked more and more as time goes on. That doesn't matter either. Jesus told us in His WORD that is the way it would be. I'm glad I know HIM as my Savior. No matter what happens, I win.

That's the only thing about Christmas I agree with.

Looks different around here. I like it!

My Christmas decorations are filled with memories of my childhood and usually they are like having a visit from old friends. I don't believe I can put them out this year, but who knows? Meanwhile you can hardly go anywhere commercially and find the word Christmas but I can find it in my heart.

I just cant or wont do as much as when I was younger, and like you, the reason for the season is the Christ child and I prefer to focus on Him.

Agree! Last night at the women's fellowship at Ashley's church, the speaker talked about this. Christmas is about PEACE... as Christians, what type of Christmas to we portray to the world? Do they see us rushing around, stressed out, caught up in the consumerism of the world? or do they see PEACE? do we display Christ in our season... she said everything we do during the Christmas season should display Christ.... our Christmas cards, our wrapping paper, our celebrations, etc..The most important part was 'preparing our hearts'... taking the time to read His word, letting Him speak to us, and remembering what the season is all about. It was a good reminder...not to mention, hilarious.... she was so funny, but gave a great message.

I used to love a game of scrabble before bed, but then they changed the program around. I think they just released a new version, so I'll have to check it out. Hope your sisters give you a break!
