The Weekend...

Memorial Day weekend is the time that my husband's family has their annual family reunion. My oldest grandson, his wife and baby and my granddaughter came early. They visited family all day Saturday and I got to keep the baby while they went out that night. I enjoyed watching him. He's almost 4 months old.

On Sunday there was a very good turn out for the reunion. We had a good group to represent all the families.

On Monday, my oldest son invited us down to Topsail Beach to eat hotdogs to celebrate the holiday. All of us went except my daughter. She babysat my other granddaughter's dog along with her three. No dogs allowed in the condo. Also another granddaughter had to work and couldn't be there. I went out on the beach long enough to take a couple of pictures and to beg our baby's mom to let me keep the baby while they enjoyed the beach.

I went up and down the three flight of stairs about three times yesterday. Today my body told me I needed to rest. I found muscles I forgot I had, ha ha. But, oh, the fun and memories are worth it all.

Sounds like everyone had a great time! I'm so glad you got time to love on our baby!! He was at my house all day yesterday, so I wiped all your sugars off with mine! LOL

That first picture certainly explains where the expression "kootchie, kootchie koo" comes from.

What a lovely sounding day. Sometimes I wonder if there will ever be more babies in our family. Our granddaughter does not seem very interested in babies, and has no boyfriend at present. Our grandson is so young, by the time he is old enough to be a father, we may be gone from this earth! LOL.
