I always like those historic signs. I never fail to read them and have even been known to park when I drive by one I'm curious about if I'm not in too big of a hurry. Good choice.

A metal sign? Over here, metal signs are usually stolen, cos they fetch a good price at the scrap metal factories.

So good to be back and thanks for your comments. The last month has been very sad. We had to rush home to be with my dying sister-in-law who very bravely lost her battle not long after we got there.

Metal, a material found everyday in our lives if we all look closely :)

Guess I can't comment on the photo hunts really but I do love almost anything cast iron - have far too many moving boxes to prove it, too.

But I was so taken with your Thanksgiving crowd at the table ... that is simply divine, to have so many to cook for and spoil. What a true delight!

A useful metal leading one to a historical site. I would go take a look.

We like to stop along the way and read historical signs. Is this one in your home town?

Nice one! I love a shot that conveys a sense of history alongside the modern.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

I love it. A place where Washington actually slept! Good choice for this week's theme.

Ann,

There's lots of metal in this photo. I love the sign. Great job.

We had snow Sunday morning and then in the evening it rained, so we have quite a mixture. I just hope it doesn't freeze now or the roads will be skating rinks - very dangerous driving.

Take care. I hope you enjoyed your church service.

Blessings,
Mary

Ann,

Good pic.

Cruising the Internet, I've ran across a few other signs that point out where Washington ate or slept.

I wonder what he would think if he were alive today to see these signs?

I found your blog through Renie and really like it. Was curious about the picture of the Primitive Baptist church? My husband and I are Primitive Baptist. We live in southeast Va. so we are practically neighbors. ha.

Hi ancient one - nice catch. A memorial metal I would say.
