She decorates eggs and has some beautiful ones on her post. Go check her out. She's giving away a kit that someone can use to make the beautiful eggs.
Aren't these pretty? They came from the chicken already colored up in beautiful blues and greens and browns.
My husband once raised these chickens, called Araucana, and we enjoyed the looks on peoples faces when we told them "that's how they come from the chicken." We don't have those chickens any longer but my husband bought these eggs from a man we know. They almost look too pretty to eat.

Hi Ann,
I had some Aracuna's back in the days when I raised bunches of chickens. Their eggs are beautiful.
I'm going to visit Diane and look at her decorated eggs.
Hope you've had a good Wednesday.

We had some of those chickens when I was MUCH younger. I LOVED finding the blue or green eggs. Hated to eat them! They were fun to decorate for Easter - colored dyes did some unusual things.
Thanks for all of the encouragement! I'm trying to get things in order around here to be able to blog more regularly again. Love the eggs! Maybe one day we'll have some laying chickens too :D
I love the natural color of those eggs - prettier then any dye!
Those eggs are beautiful. I use to have Rhode Island Reds, their eggs are a pinkish brown. Back in the good old days when I didn't have to buy eggs....
I love the chickens that have "fur feathers"...beautiful! Love these eggs...couldn't bear to see them thrown lol!

We always loved the brown eggs best! They really tasted no different to the white eggs, but for some silly reason we thought they did! LOl!
Those eggs are pretty.... Easter eggs everyday!
Ann,
These are such pretty eggs. I have heard of this species of chicken but have never seen the eggs. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Mary
We had yard hens when I was a child and I loved collecting eggs from the coops. My favorite finds were the "soft shell" eggs. Even seen those? It when the shell wasn't formed and it just had that inside lining containing the egg. I don't know I loved them so much ...
