Patched up but still in use? Good if so! (Think people these days are too likely to throw away stuff which may have seen better days but still are usable.)
You can't beat Duct Tape for patching things. I gave my guys camoflauge duct tape in their christmas Stockings this past year. I noticed that my stepson had a long piece holding something on up under the front of his car! At least he was in style. LOL

Lots of duck tape on the mowers that come through our yard... but this one was the best to represent the theme this week...ha ha

too cute... yes, duct tape comes in all colors now! They even have hot pink!!!
