The weekend is over.
My husband had his surgery on the 28th of June. All went well. We spent the night in the hospital and came home the next day. We go back to see the doctor on Wednesday.
I think I heard the doctor tell my husband no driving for a week. On Thursday of last week, the nurse from the hospital, called to see how he was doing. I had to tell her that he was not here. He had driven into town to get his truck inspected. LOL She promised to keep our secret.
At least he didn't go back to work yet. We put a sign up saying we were closed until July 5th. We went to visit my cousin who is in the hospital on Saturday. For the last few years we have gone to the beach just for the day on July 4th. Didn't do that today. And we decided to stay home tonight and watch the fireworks from our front porch. Guess we are getting old?

Hahaha... men. I understand you can't keep a good man down. Guess yours is good man! Glad he is doing well.
Glad your hubby is doing well, even though he's not following instructions!
We didn't go to fireworks either - wish we could see them from our porch!
I'm glad everything went well with your husband's surgery. You can't keep a man at home when they make up their mind to go somewhere, can you? That's a good sign that he is doing good though, so its a blessing!
Hey, once you have seen one firework, you've seen them all. LOL We sat outside and watched them from our driveway again last night. I found myself playing with my Ipod more than I was watching the show. :o) Glad daddy is doing so well!
We must be in the same boat, the old boat! We didn't leave the house either!
Your husband and I are on the same dr. schedule, I go for my post op appointment Wednesday also. We may be getting older, but we still want to drive our cars! LOL!
Glad all went well with DH and its romantic to sit on the pouch and watch fireworks, not getting old - just growing wise.lol
So glad your husband is doing better! I had company until July 3rd, evening, on July 4th we had some nice showers and cooler weather, and I napped (gettin old) and later sat on the deck and read, and talked to my daughter and granddaughters on the phone. Ten days of company is nice, but I do get tuckered out eventually!
Have a good rest of the week.
Good news indeed
