Nice photos! Both are wonderful for this theme. I assume they're both in NC - they certainly look like things you see on the back roads of our state.

Hope you have a nice weekend!

There are so many places like that around this state. These are great. I can tell you enjoy history Ms. Ann!

Those are great shots for the theme. I have certainly seen a lot of places like both of those in rural North Carolina and they always take me back to my childhood for some reason.

I bet this was once a beautiful home. It probably had a lot of good parties too! lol

Checked out the 'look back in history' page(s) - that is really a nice group of historical pictures.

Kodacrome film was $5 - a hefty price back then. No wonder color film didn't really take off with the public until the late 50's and early 60's.

Look at where we are today - a long way from the tin types of the middle 19th century.

Notice the pic of the dance in Oklahoma - see the girl to the left? From the expression on her face looks like BF (boyfriend) is/was in the DOG HOUSE.

Thank you for sharing those photographs. I really loved Dorothea Lang. Her work was very poetic. The other photos are very moving and important as well.
