We have so much construction going on around us that it seems we spend half our lives "waiting for the pilot truck". Hey, there is a good sermon here somewhere. LOL
Hi Ann, what are we looking at? Don't mean to show my ignorance. Hope you will have a nice Thanksgiving. I appreciate all your concerns about us on your comments.
Okay... explanation... they are re-paving hwy 102 near my home. I am sitting in a long line of cars waiting for the pilot truck to get back. He will be leading a long line of cars heading the other way. As soon as he gets to us he gets in front of our long line of cars and leads us in the wrong lane until we pass the area of construction.... Now, I was expecting my daughter to get the irony of the situation. Just past the building I pictured is the road that I live on. If only I could have gotten to the driveway of that building, I would have been able to go across in front of the next building and then turn onto my road. As it was I had to stop and stay in line for about five minutes until the pilot truck returned... LOL
I have been in that line before, usually when you have a hundred other things you should be doing. Pretty sure there are a lot worse things, so we just have to sit and wait. Thats what I tell myself anyway. Nancy Jo

What's a pilot truck?

I agree with Grannie Annie... waiting on the pilot, for safety, direction, etc... even though we get frustrated with 'waiting' sometimes. :o)

You had to wait 5 minutes? That's not too bad. Guess we get impatient, especially when the way out would be so simple, if only....haha.

I always loved shots taken through a windshield...traveling thru life with a camera is such fun!
