That's what I call it when you begin new adventures with doctors. They find a reason to keep you coming back.
My husband is now on the Merry-Go-Round. After the heart surgery, the visits to the doctors increased. See your family doctor. See your Cardiologist. See your Surgeon. Back to the family doctor for several little visits. Surgeon turns him loose. Exercise picks him up. Exercise three times a week for ten weeks. Graduation. PT turns him loose. Pain in the kidney. ER treats for kidney stone. Wants to make an appointment for Urologist. Husband says no. Family doctor has another concern. THS low. Seeing a new doctor tomorrow. Wonder what she will want him to do next? He's wanting to get off the Merry-Go-Round.
A sister-in-law has just got on the Merry-Go-Round. She had colon cancer surgery and they found a spot on her liver. She's had scans and now they have plans for the "port" and the chemo to start Jan 5th. Her husband, husband's brother, has been riding the Merry-Go-Round all this year with his own problems.
Let's hope enough of us can stay well and off the Merry-Go-Round to be able to help those who are riding now.

We ride the merry go round when we are children and then again as we age. Only differece is when we age, it's no longer fun.

At 58 I take no meds. if I have to go to the Dr. seems all they want to do is put you on meds. I dont take them and fine.If it were something I really needed fine . Dont understand it! ha

Yep, as we age, and ailments take hold on us, it's hard to get off the darn merry go round. Have to take it one day at a time, and find some enjoyment in each day.

Yes, it is a rough ride... BUT when we need help, well, what choices do we have?
Sadly for so many, their Merry-go round starts when they are so young.

Ann, my thoughts and symathies are with you! We are on the Merry go round too, with Gom being very sick and needing Hospital visits and more tests. In the mean time my little trials are ticking over too.
No time to think about Christmas, and January looks full already.
You definitely hit the right description for medical dilemmas. Spouse and I both ride that no-so-Merry-Go-Round too. Just hope the new year brings us all a better direction toward health. Merry Christmas and Happy (healthy) Holidays to your and yours:)
