I hate Change

I know things change all the time. I guess I'm just sentimental. This small house was covered with pink asbesto siding. In spring the front yard is covered in yellow daffodils.

I cannot remember who lived in this house. I was thinking it was a woman who had no family. I just know no one has lived here for years.

This little house is on the new route we take to town now. I suspect that the pink asbestos siding was removed to get it in a proper condition for some fire department to use to train its members. I wonder how long that house has been there? For as long as I've been married, I'm sure. I cannot remember it not being there. I am just too sentimental.

Small Town Art

I love small town art on the fronts or sides of buildings!

Many of the buildings are all being painted the same color, a deep red with green accents. I liked varitey. I can understand the concept that the Chamber of Commerce is trying to convey with the updated colors on the buildings, but I'm afraid the art might be covered. I hope NOT!
