Last weekend we were complaining about how dry everything was. Hardly any water in these creeks.
Now they flow over their banks.
During a slack time this morning we ventured out just a way down from our home.
Soon after we returned home the rain started again. Now our home is surrounded with water. Half the front yard and part of the pasture looks like a lake. The weather people promise it will end tonight.
A friend brought me a humming bird vine a few years back. That's it with the red flowers.
They come back every year. They are growing up the same light pole as the moon flowers. They bloom in the day time.
And yes, I have seen humming birds enjoying the flowers.
This is the vine I have growing on the light post this year.
If you remember I planted beans on it last year. I almost didn't plant anything, but then I thought of the moon flower seeds I had saved. They got a late start but they have been beautiful.
The only time I see them is early morning and early evening. During the day the flowers are closed. I have been told that they smell so good. I wouldn't know. I have lost most of my sense of smell.
On this anniversary of 9-11 I still believe in GOD and Country.
One Nation Under GOD
That's what the doctor told our man when his wife asked if he should be in the goat pen.
Does he listen? No no no no no... He has been in the goat pen three times already. Let's hope one of the other goats doesn't decide to take him for a little ride.
