Another year of irises along the old ancient fence. Each year the show gets bigger.
This is after the rain. I found two new blooms that were not present last year. Always a surprise or two.

"Today I know that memories are the key not to the past, but to the future. I know that the experiences of our lives, when we let GOD use them, become the mysterious and perfect preparation for the work HE will give us to do..."
"It was in 1844 that Grandfather had a visit from his minister, Dominee Witteveen, who had a special request. "Willem, you know the scriptures tell us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the blessing of the Jews."
"Ah yes, Dominee, I have always loved GOD'S ancient people - they gave us our Bible and our SAVIOR.""Beginning with this conversation, a prayer fellowship was started, with Grandfather and his friends praying for the Jewish people..."
"In a divine way which is beyond our human understanding, GOD answered those prayers. It was in the same house, exactly one hundred years later, that Grandfather's son, my father and four of his grandchildren, and one great-grandson were arrested for helping save the lives of Jews during the German occupation of Holland..."
"So many times we wonder why GOD has certain things happen to us. We try to understand the circumstances of our lives, and we are left wondering. But GOD's foolishness is so much wiser than our wisdon..."
"From generation to generation, from small beginnings and little lessons, HE has a purpose for those who know and trust HIM."
"GOD has no problems - just plans!"

Quick runs to the town 10 miles north of me are necessary. That's where Staples and Office Depot are located. Sometimes the traffic gets heavy.
When I reach this part on my way home, I know I have one more stop light and a four way stop before the traffic gets back to two lanes and I'm back into country traffic. Just me and the road.
Two sweethearts walking down the
street;
She trips; he murmurs, "Careful
sweet!"
Now wed, they tread that selfsame
street;
She trips; he growls, "Pick up your
feet".

I have a cousin who never sits idle. She is always making something. Isn't this cute?
She gave this to me when she visited me last. This cousin is very thoughtful and hardly ever comes to see me empty handed. She was using up extra crafting stuff she had on hand. She used old silk flowers and pipe cleaners and fashioned this lovely lady. She was made to sit on a flower pot. Isn't she cute?
Thanks Janice !!!
We had very heavy rains this weekend. My cedar tree has done it again. Click on the pictures for better views.
This a fungus that happens with spring rains. I've seen this tree do this two times before. In fact this is an older picture. This weekend it did it again.
